Uphill for Uganda

Hiking Africa’s tallest mountain is a monstrous task; one that takes endurance, agility, and motivation. What better motivation is there than supporting a child here at GSF?
Our friend Kristen has been to GSF multiple times and is a bright light on our campus each visit. When planning her hike up Mt. Kilimanjaro this summer, she was searching for a way to bring extra meaning to her journey. She decided to start a fundraising campaign through the Global Outreach website for friends and family to support her and GSF on her hike. All the funds she raised were donated directly to the GSF ministry area of her choice, which in Kristen’s case was sponsorship. We are so thankful that God used this momentous feat in Kristen’s life to bless more kids at GSF.  (See Kristen’s fund-raiser by clicking her photo above.)  Now we hope many more people will trek in her footsteps by starting fundraising campaigns of their own!
The good news is you don’t have to hike 19,431 feet up Mt. Kilimanjaro to start a campaign! Have a birthday coming up? Looking for a summer service project to do with your kids? Wedding anniversary and no need for gifts? Whatever the occasion, the Global Outreach website has made it easy for you to start your own personalized campaign, allowing you to select the area of ministry at GSF you would like to fund.
